Join Us for a Fun Weekend with Your Horse Show Friends and Family
Signature is exhibitor-friendly with all the popular classes plus some that are just fun for everyone. The Ledges outdoor arena is a lovely setting amid flowers and trees, and its footing is very good. The indoor ring is available in case of inclement weather, and all stalls are permanent, in barns with good ventilation.
Exhibitors Choose A or B Season Trophy Points
Exhibitors again choose whether their wins earn A or B season trophy points on the MAHSA, IASPHA and ASAW high point circuits.
Horses Showing for B Points Have 6 Classes of Their Own
Six classes are open only to horses declared for B points. Horses declared for A points cannot show in these classes, but B horses may also show in any other class for which they qualify. Three B-only classes are in Show Pleasure Three Gaited and three are in Country Pleasure Three Gaited. (See prize list for details.)
Signature’s schedule includes complete divisions for Saddlebred Pleasure -- Show, Country and Western -- plus Hunt Seat, Classic and Open Pleasure. Also Saddlebred performance, Park, Park Pleasure, Hackney Show Pleasure Driving, Road Pony classes and equitation age groups including Good Hands, UPHA Challenge Cups (Junior, Adult) and Pleasure Medallion qualifiers. Join us at Mane Event for a full schedule of performance, pleasure and equitation classes at the highly regarded Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield – where ALL STABLING IS IN ENCLOSED BARNS convenient to the coliseum.
Exhibitors tell us they really appreciate the facilities…. the Coliseum’s banked oval arena and the three warm-up rings (two indoor arenas plus a huge covered arena with a 50’ round pen), all next to the Coliseum in-gate....all available 24/7. Plus the excellent stabling.
AN EXPANSIVE CLASS LIST has excellent options for amateurs showing performance (Amateur, Ladies and Junior Exhibitor Five and Three Gaited qualifiers and championships) and pleasure (Show, Country, Western and Hunter), and the ideal facilities – and classes -- for showing young horses.
THREE $500-ADDED “JACKPOT” STAKES – Five Gaited, Three Gaited and Fine Harness – require no qualification and are open to all on Saturday night.
THE GOOD HANDS FINALS SCHEDULING is exhibitor-friendly for riders and coaches. The Finals are held over two days, instead of all on the same day as in the past, and the morning session will start two hours later. Preliminary rail and workout phases for all Finals riders will be 10 A.M. Friday morning and the Championship phases for Top 10 riders, on the next day, at the end of the Saturday afternoon session. The Finals awards ceremony is at the beginning of the Saturday evening session. National Horseman magazine is the official sponsor of The Good Hands Finals.
For information on holding a Good Hands qualifying class at your local show, call 847/537-4743 or email email@example.com. Shows do not have to be USEF affiliated. Class fee is $35, which includes the trophy.
HOSPITALITY includes a Friday night celebration honoring all the “Good Hands” Finals riders. Held in the Artisans Building, where Mane Event’s famous exhibitors party is held, the new celebration will have a completely different vibe, and include music, dancing and food. All exhibitors are invited to attend both the new Friday celebration as well as the Saturday night exhibitors party considered by many to be the best on the show circuit with multiple gourmet food stations (including the famous Lobster Bisque) and no long waiting lines.
